Combinati
Next level dPCR

Project summary
Combinati’s mission is centered on making a meaningful impact in healthcare. Their platform enables scientists to monitor disease biomarkers and gather crucial data for patient care. This includes vulnerable groups such as cancer survivors who need precise health monitoring and to identify patients who are infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Using Combinati’s Absolute Q platform, scientists and researchers have access to an end-to-end dPCR solution. Absolute Q leverages patented microfluidic array partitioning technology and integrated software to provide rapid and seamless results.
www.thermofisher.comFrom concept to reality
Over an 18-month collaboration, a dedicated Kellton Europe (formerly Tivix) team worked closely with Combinati to design and develop the Absolute Q application from the ground up. The result is a robust software platform seamlessly integrated with Combinati’s hardware instruments. Once partitioning, thermocycling, and imaging are complete, the software automatically processes the data, enabling researchers to select various analysis methods and interact with their results effortlessly.
Technology stack
The Combinati app utilizes a range of advanced technologies to meet user needs:
Frontend
React.js for building interactive user interfaces, with Redux for efficient state management.
Data visualization
PixiJS, Chart.js, and Plotly.js, combined with WebGL, to deliver high-performance data visualizations.
Backend
Django/Python for a robust and scalable server-side solution.
Desktop deployment
Electron for a cross-platform desktop application.
Database
SQLite3 for local data storage and PostgreSQL for cloud-based database management.
